By popular demand the New England-based brewers introduce Boy Meets Boy and Girl Meets Girl into the newly renamed Love Is Love Ale collection

MARTHA’S VINEYARD, MA (November 2, 2017) — Wash Ashore Beer Company proudly announces two new additions to its family of organic, hop-driven, non-GMO beers: Girl Meets Girl and Boy Meets Boy. Featuring the same juicy, fruit-forward formulation as the immensely popular Girl Meets Boy Summer Ale, released in July 2017, the cans feature new packaging in response to astounding demand.

“First we had couples asking if we could make the beer available all year because they wanted to serve it at their weddings,” explains Wash Ashore co-owner Michelle Verdi. “And people were asking for something that represented them, too. Everyone said they loved the taste because it reminded them of summer and summer love, so we decided to make our packaging reflect our company’s ethos: Love Is Love.”

Verdi’s 29 year marriage to Wash Ashore co-owner Chad Verdi inspired the first round of packaging and, to mark the line’s expansion, Wash Ashore changed the name of the 4.9 percent ABV formulation from Summer Ale to Love Ale. It still retains a nose of ripe banana and wheat, with a touch of citrus, delivering a round, juicy mid-palate. “Love who you love,” says co-owner Joe Monteiro. “And drink what you love.”

Love Ale is currently on tap at 19 Raw Oyster Bar, Monteiro’s Edgartown, MA restaurant, and will soon be available in 12-ounce six packs at select wine stores, craft beer stores and fine restaurants on the Cape & Islands, and in MA, and RI. Wash Ashore expects to launch in Connecticut, Maine, and Florida by Q1 2018. Starting in December, the company will begin brewing in Pawtucket, RI.

As fans already know, Wash Ashore donates a portion of all proceeds to charity, and LGBTQ causes will benefit from sales of Girl Meets Girl and Boy Meets Boy. (The company previously donated to Buddhist monasteries, animal shelters and ocean conservation after the release of its first three introductions: Buddha Pale Ale, Maya Mae IPA, and Girl Meets Boy.)

About Wash Ashore Beer Company

Martha’s Vineyard island dweller and owner of Vintage MV Wine & Spirits, John Clift, along with chef/restaurateur Joe Monteiro of Pizza di Napoli and 19 Raw Oyster Bar, created Wash Ashore Beer Company. In 2015 they teamed up with fellow Vineyard residents/film producers/restaurateurs Chad and Michelle Verdiowners of Verdi Productions and co-owners of Gregg’s Restaurants. Because Wash Ashore believes in giving back, a portion of the proceeds from each of beer sold is donated to charities.
